Creator of the TV series "Tom" and winner of two Grand Prix awards at the Ottawa International Animated Film Festival, he has made an impact at film festivals around the world with his Country Trilogy and continues his energetic personal production as a leader in independent German animation Andreas Hucade. His animations and illustrations, which use rounded, soft and well-defined lines with intensity and unique depth, have been increasingly refined in recent years to their simplicity.
For her first solo exhibition in Japan, she will exhibit and sell 36 prints from "Myself LA," a series of original drawings based on her own experiences in LA. We hope you will enjoy Hucade's world of light and shadow, eros and thanatos in the midst of humor.
Andreas Hykade was born in the summer of love in Altötting, center of the Holy Mary cult.
Since he´s been a grown-up, he´s created animated films for grown-ups.
Now he´s a father, he creates animated films for children as well.
He also is a professor of animation at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.
